PLACES TO VISIT




Moqua Well
This is a small lake in the Yaren district of Nauru. During WWII, Moqua Well was the primary source of drinking water for inhabitants of Nauru. For this reason that the body of water is referred to as a well nstead of a lake.
Anibare Bay
Anibare Bay is the largest bay in the Anibare District, it draws tourists and naturalists with its unusual physical features shaped by underwater volcanic activity, the protected bay is extremely safe for swimming. Many come at sunrise for magnificent views.
WWII Relics
If you are interested in history, there are many surviving relics from WWII scattered around the island. Most of the relics left over are from Japanese forces, and you can still see bunkers, trenches and weapons in some locations.
Buada Lagoon
Peaceful and ideal for a picnic, Buada Lagoon represents a landlocked, freshwater lake surrounding by thick foliage. Although few visitors choose to swim here, many come for a chance to get away from urban hassle and take a few photographs of the local nature.
